We all know that link exchange and directory submissions are important for your pagerank. What else can be done to increase your popularity?

Here some things I think are helpful:

1. posting your articles at http://EzineArticles.com

2. adding your article links to digg and similar sites

3. creating a group with facebook and similar sites

4. posting comments at related sites - not spamming ofcourse, but participating in conversation and adding a link back to you.
